Girasole Pizza Company will be opening on Memorial Day Weekend at Kruger's Farm! Before the grand opening, my family has been having a blast tweaking recipes, trying out different kinds of food, and playing with fire!

Pizza is definitely an art, handling the dough just right, combining the perfect amount of flavors, operating the peel, and turning the pizza in the oven the right amount are all key factors in making each pie. Experimenting with this process is not only fun and delicious, but it’s helping me work out the kinks for the upcoming summer!

I have always dreamed of owning a funky pizza restaurant some day, and now my dream has started to come true. It might not be a restaurant, but it is definitely funky. I remember hanging out with my Mama on Friday nights when I was younger and making all different kinds of pizzas. We would try out different kinds of dough recipes, sauces, cheeses and toppings.

I am really excited to kick of the summer season soon, and see how others enjoy the oven. I am confident that I will not be alone with my new obsession! Until then I have many more cooking adventures I need to tackle!

I will keep you all posted on how everything is coming along. I still have lots of equipment to purchase, wood to acquire, recipes to try out, and crusts to perfect!
