Meet the minds, hands, and energy of Girasole Pizza Company!

Brittany: It’s a little difficult to write a description about myself and my role in the business. I guess I am the little Girasole pizza faery, running around dealing with all the little things that make up the big picture. I do a lot of the behind the scene nitty gritty stuff, but I do enjoy getting down in the dough and serving up pizza with the boys. Without me, the boys would be lost, as I would be lost without them. It’s the team that makes this small operation work, not any one person, even me the Girasole faery!

Jake: My crazy Jake, what to say about him... Well he is very spirited! He is one of the friendliest, most honest, genuine, and innocent people I know. You will most likely see him goofing off with a smile on his face. But when it comes time to crack down and get to work, he is your guy. I don't know what I would do without him, and I definitely don't know how Girasole would ever make it without him... Since he is the person in charge of wood and the fire, a pretty essential job. I also don't know how Girasole would get anywhere without Jake, since his truck is the ox that pulls the oven and he is the rider!

Mary is not only responsible for the idea and foundation of the company, but she is the trusting investor who allowed me to buy the oven! Without her, there would be no possibility of Girasole Pizza Company this summer. My mom is an amazing chef, who inspires me daily. She currently resides in Walla Walla, Washington where she works as an Inn Keeper at the Abeja Winery and Inn (a splendid place!) Even though she is more then 4 hours away, she plays a key role in the company, and is my go-to-gal whenever I am in need of some help! Love you Mama!

Emily: Emily is the newest member of the Girasole team. With the expansion of the business to a Wood Fired Cafe, Emily's multifaceted attributes she is a wonderful addition to the team. She is a young mother of two very energetic boys, loves working in the garden or doing anything outdoors, and is always wearing a smile!

  4. I live in St. Johns and have been to Girasole many times. I have NEVER experienced any of the negative things mentioned by the person above. The food is delicious, of course, but the service is also great. I'm so happy to have a great restaurant in the neighborhood and every single other person I've spoken to has said the same thing. I look forward to coming back again and again, you won't be yesterdays news to me.
